Regina police kept busy overnight with shooting, and street robberies

REGINA – It was a busy start to the weekend for Regina Police, after responding to a number of calls beginning Friday night.

Officers were called to the 500 block of Garnet Street around 10:40 p.m. for a report of a street robbery.

According to police, two men robbed a man of some belongings at gunpoint.

The victim wasn’t injured and the investigation is ongoing.

Meantime, police are searching for three suspects wanted in an early morning shooting on Saturday.

Officers responded to a home on 1st Avenue at around 1: 30 a.m.

Upon arrival they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, who was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers believe one of the suspects is known to the victim.

Finally, police are looking to the public for information on another street robbery.

According to officers, two men allegedly sprayed a man with mace on Gordon Road around 2:45 a.m. on Saturday.

The suspects made off with some of the man’s property, and the canine unit was brought in to locate and arrest the suspects.

Police say criminal charges are pending against the two men.

Officers are asking anyone with information on any of these crimes to contact authorities.
