Pair arrested after Saskatoon restaurant robbed

SASKATOON – An armed robbery at Saskatoon restaurant has landed two people in jail. The restaurant, located in the 2300-block of Preston Avenue, was robbed around 2:45 a.m.

Police say a man, armed with a knife, and a woman entered the restaurant and demanded cash. They then fled with alcohol and an undisclosed amount of money.

Just after 5 a.m., police received a tip the suspects were at a residence on MacDermid Crescent. Officers found the pair who matched the description of the robbers.

The 24-year old man was found with a knife and cash. He is facing robbery, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, carrying a concealed weapon and breach of undertaking charges.

A 21-year-old woman is facing being a party to a robbery and breach of undertaking charges.
