Noon-hour robbery at Broadway Avenue pharmacy

SASKATOON – Police are looking for a man suspected of robbing a Saskatoon pharmacy over the noon-hour. Officers were called to the pharmacy located in the 800-block of Broadway Avenue around 12:45 p.m.

Staff told police the man entered the store and pretended to buy an item. When the cash register opened, he grabbed some money and took off on foot. He was thought to be armed with a gun.

Police initiated a search of the area, but were unable to track down the suspect. He is described as First Nations, around 20 years of age and wearing a black jacket, black toque and jeans.

It’s the second time a pharmacy has been robbed in Saskatoon this week. On Sunday evening, a man robbed a River Heights pharmacy of an unknown amount of narcotics.

A Stonebridge pharmacy was also robbed on Oct. 31 by a lone male who made off with drugs.
