VERNON – RCMP are seeking two men as the investigation continues in a fatal motor vehicle crash in Vernon.
Kelowna resident Erin Rae Smith, 33, was killed when the car she was driving was struck by a van at a downtown intersection at about 1:15 a.m. on October 23.
A passenger in Smith’s vehicle suffered serious internal injuries.
RCMP say two men stopped to help the crash victims but walked away after a few minutes before officers could speak to them.
Investigators want the two to contact the Vernon detachment.
Police are considering recommending criminal charges against the 37-year-old driver of the van.
