HALIFAX – Police continue to look for suspects after a report of gunfire in a quiet neighbourhood near Bedford.
Around 8:20 a.m. on Saturday, Halifax Regional Police arrived at Cresthaven Drive and Castle Hill Drive for a report of shots fired.
“We received one report of gunfire. The individual that had contacted police said they had heard it and when they got up to try and determine what had taken place, they observed a vehicle leave the area at high speed,” said Staff Sgt. Lindsay Hernden with Halifax Regional Police.
“We searched for physical evidence and did find a number of shell casings, which clearly indicated an incident of some sort occurred involving gunfire.”
Residents living in the area tell Global News they did not see or hear anything at the time of the reported incident.
Hernden said police have spoken with the initial complainant and are still investigating.
No suspects have been taken into custody.
There was also no damage to homes and no report of injuries.
