Protests this weekend as teachers’ dispute drags on

Classes will likely not be in session next week as the ongoing labour dispute between the teachers’ union and the province drags on.

There are no picket lines this weekend, but protests in Victoria and Coquitlam are in full swing.

The latest demonstrations comes a day after hundreds teachers rallied at Canada Place.

The BCTF is now calling for binding arbitration, but the province says they are not prepared to handover the decision to a third party.
