Man pulled from Bow River near pedestrian bridge

CALGARY – A man had to be transported to hospital on Friday after being pulled from the Bow River.

The Calgary Fire Department Aquatics Rescue Team rushed to the waterway shortly after midnight.

Crews searched the area around 10th Street S.E., and found a man floating face down at the Prince’s Island Park pedestrian bridge.

A rescue swimmer was able to get to the man and pull him to shore.

He was rushed to hospital in stable, non-life-threatening condition.
