EDMONTON – Edmonton police have identified the suspect in a fatal hit-and-run that happened in the city’s northeast last week.

Police are now asking for the public’s help to locate 31-year-old Jonathan Jake Cardinal, who is wanted on Canada-wide warrants for a long list of offences including manslaughter in connection with the hit-and-run.

“We have some ideas, we’re getting information,” says Edmonton Police Chief Rod Knecht. “We just need somebody to tell us where he is, and obviously somebody knows right now in the city of Edmonton.”

The manhunt began last Friday morning, after 33-year-old Adam Groves was killed when he was run over by his own truck as he tried to stop it from being stolen.
