WINNIPEG – A man with gunshot wounds is recovering in hospital.
Winnipeg police called to Mountain Street and McGregor Avenue around 1:30 a.m. Sunday found a 21-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower body.

The victim was in the area looking to buy drugs, police allege.
The man was taken to hospital in unstable condition and has since been upgraded to stable.
Police continue to investigate.
