Burnaby RCMP are looking for three suspects after an armed home invasion late Friday night.

Mounties say they were called to a home in the 4300-block of Oxford Street near Madison Avenue at around 11 p.m.

According to police, three men, armed with a gun, bat and crowbar, broke into a home while the family was still awake.

The family cooperated with the suspects and no one was injured. The alleged thieves made away with a wallet and a portable phone attached to a landline, which police say may have been to delay a 911 call.

There is no description of the suspects because they were wearing masks and dark clothing.

Police are investigating the incident and searching for suspects.

Mounties say break-ins are not common in the area.
