Search resumes on South Saskatchewan River for Gregory MacIntosh

SASKATOON – A search is underway on the South Saskatchewan River for a missing Saskatoon man.

Gregory ‘Myles’ MacIntosh was reported missing on Feb. 2 after he failed to return home.

It is believed he fell into the river in the early morning hours after an altercation with a man on a pub crawl bus. He had been at Outlaws on Idylwyld Drive prior to the altercation for his bachelor party.

DNA evidence of blood found on the ice matched that of MacIntosh.

Saskatoon police is working with both the fire department and Shearwater marine services in the search taking place Friday morning.

Shearwater is conducting its own operations on the river and is utilizing its sonar technology, at no cost, to assist with the search.
