She also told police she had found a camera hidden in her apartment in March, which she believed had been installed during a visit to the home.

The victim tells Global News her neighbour visited their apartment asking to use the bathroom, because he claimed his water wasn’t working.

“He came to our bathroom for like a week every day,” she explains. “He started using it for like five minutes to ten minutes. We got really suspicious.”

“I went up there and I noticed that the mat was placed differently and I saw a blue light. I looked in the vent and I found a camera.”

The next day, police executed a search warrant on the suspect’s apartment and found several electronic devices which are now being examined by a forensic investigators.

Police have charged Chad Barry Robert Stone with voyeurism and luring a child by telecommunication.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, May 7, 2014.
