Second woman charged in violent Toronto kidnapping

TORONTO – Toronto police say they’ve charged a second person in connection with a vicious assault and kidnapping case.

Investigators allege a woman was held captive in two apartments in the city’s east end and violently assaulted by a man and three women with a variety of weapons over four days last December.

Police say the woman was choked with a seatbelt as she was driven to a park on Dec. 21, where she managed to escape and sought help from a passerby.

Police say Alison Bray, 35, surrendered to police on Tuesday and faces 10 counts, including assault with a weapon, forcible confinement and kidnapping.

June Wilson, 36, of Toronto was arrested in late December and is also charged with assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, kidnapping and forcible confinement.
