CALGARY – Police have laid over 100 charges against a 29-year-old man after the discovery of a huge cache of stolen goods.

Hundreds of stolen items were recovered from three different houses in Marlborough Park and Forest Heights.

Investigators think the items were taken during break-and-enters in rural communities around Strathmore and Okotoks.

Nicholas Konrad Kirszenstein was taken into custody on Wednesday, Feb. 5th after police allegedly observed him traveling in a stolen vehicle.

He faces the following charges:

  • Two counts of assaulting a peace officer relating to a previous incident
  • Three counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000 – relating to Ford trucks
  • One count of possessing body armour without a permit
  • 31 counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • 31 counts of possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order
  • 31 counts of possession of a weapon obtained by crime
  • One count of possession of a prohibited weapon

He will remain in police custody until his next scheduled court appearance on Thursday, March 13.

Calgary police are working with RCMP to return the stolen goods to their rightful owners.
