Car seat recall expands

CALGARY- Anyone who owns a Graco Nautilus or MyRide 65 child car seat may have to replace the buckles.

Graco has extended a recall of 3.7 million car seats issued in February, to products also sold in Canada. The car seats were sold in Canada from 2009 to July 2013.

The problem is the harness buckles can become stuck and hard to open over repeated use, or if food and liquid is spilled on them.

Graco is sending customers a repair kit with a new replacement buckle. Consumers can continue to use the seats until then, but they urge owners to clean the buckle.

If your car seat has a square red button, it already has a new buckle and is not part of the recall.
