Manitoba RCMP Officers from Stonewall and Headingley responded to reports of a cube truck that had hit a guardrail in an eastbound lane of Highway 1 near Elie on Sunday. Both occupants of the cube truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries and exited the vehicle to examine the damage from the collision with the guard rail. A semi-trailer, that was in the process of slowing down to avoid the cube truck, then clipped the cube truck causing the truck to slide into the two men who were standing next to it. Road conditions were said to be a factor in the incident.
