It is a concept that’s taken off in other parts of the world and could be part of the solution to more affordable housing options, especially for people on fixed incomes like seniors. A Kelowna based company has launched a pilot program that would match seniors with other seniors or households to share homes. It’s a program that one Okanagan senior hopes helps her find her new home as she struggles with the rising costs of living, and in particular rent.
