For years there have been concerns that Vernon’s lakeshore lacks the tourist appeal of other Okanagan cities. That could be about to change with a major new development proposed that includes residential units and a resort. As Megan Turcato reports, while there is enthusiasm for the Port Okanagan project, part of the area has also been flagged as a potential flood risk.
