Assembly of First Nations (AFN) National Chief RoseAnne Archibald said on Tuesday that although the AFN is set to make a decision on whether to participate in a delegation set to meet with the Pope in December, she will not be part of that delegation. Archibald said intends to press the Pope to come to Canada to deliver a formal apology following the discovery of unmarked graves at former residential schools run by the Catholic church.
