Addressing journalists on Wednesday, Assembly of First Nations (AFN) National Chief RoseAnne Archibald talked about the “deep respect” that was needed between First Nations and the Canadian government for reconciliation. “I want you to know that not 100 per cent of First Nations are in agreement with the UNDA (United Nations Declarations Act). Some are even in disagreement with the UNDRIP itself,” Archibald said. “However, the majority of First Nations have supported this process.”
