Associate chief medical officer of health, Dr. Barbara Yaffe, said on Thursday that Ontario’s COVID-19 trends are “concerning,” and “overall, we’re heading in the wrong direction.” She stated that the province “needs to get these numbers down” to protect Ontarians, as well as the health-care system from becoming overwhelmed.
