When asked about how he felt about a group of Alberta separatists going to D.C. to ask U.S. officials for assistance, Ontario Premier Doug Ford said he was "dead against" going behind Canada's back to negotiate. While he stopped short of calling it "treason" like B.C. Premier David Eby did earlier, he called it "unacceptable" and "unethical."
