Coronavirus: Canadian lawyers call enforcement ‘ugly ticketing pandemic’

You’re unlikely to get a parking ticket during the pandemic in cities like Toronto. But in a 10-week period since March, bylaw officers and police wrote an estimated 10,000 COVID-19-related tickets. Lawyers for the Canadian Civil Liberties Association say the enforcement action didn’t advance public health objectives. Sean O’Shea reports.
