Quebec is ordering that all businesses and companies that are not considered to be essential services to close until April 13 to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus, as the number of cases in the province has risen to 628. Premier Francois Legault made the announcement on Monday in Quebec City, saying “we must put the province on hold.”
