Michael falls just short of category 5 hurricane, unleashes devastation along Florida panhandle

Hurricane Michael, a Category 4 storm, smashed into the Florida Panhandle on Wednesday, the supercharged storm had maximum sustained winds of 155 mph at landfall just two miles shy of a Category 5, the fiercest on the scale. Parts of both Florida and Georgia were under tornado warnings until early Thursday morning.
