Top News: Inflation in Canada jumps to 3.2% year-over-year in May
Description
June 22, 2026
The annual rate of inflation jumped to 3.2 per cent in May, thanks in large part to high prices at the gas pumps. Gas prices climbed for the third consecutive month because of the ongoing war in Iran and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Reggie Cecchini has this story and more in Business Matters for June 22, 2026.
