Trudeau says Canada will ‘wait and see what the President actually does’ on steel and aluminium tariffs
At a press conference in Toronto Wednesday meant to discuss the federal budget’s Canada Workers Benefit, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was pressed on Trump’s tariff threat. He said Trump
made it clear in a phone call that he was focused on moving
forward on NAFTA, and if he can get a good trade deal there
would be no need for steel or aluminium tariffs on Canada.
