There has been a lot research and discussion lately about how teenagers use social media. But a new study by the British government is shedding light on a missing piece of that story: pre-teens – children between the ages of 8 and 12-years-old – are also consuming a lot social media. And as Jeff Semple explains, many pre-teens are struggling to cope with the emotional pressure of life online.
