NDP MP Blake Desjarlais said during question period on Monday that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau “came back empty-handed” after his meeting with U.S. president-elect Donald Trump last weekend. Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc — who travelled with Trudeau for the meeting — said it was a “productive discussion” with Trump and that the Canadian leader came back “far from empty-handed.”
