One of the three men allegedly involved in a "cowardly" attack in the Toronto-area has been identified and is from Surrey B.C.

"Progress has been made and investigators now have credible information that the persons responsible are originally from British Columbia, specifically the Lower Mainland area and they recently travelled to the Greater Toronto Area."

Police said the incident, which they described in a statement as "vicious" and "violent," happened at around 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
