The rebuilt hull of the Hector is scheduled to be side-launched — eased into the water sideways — during a ceremony at the scenic harbour in Pictou, N.S.

Wood from trees downed by post-tropical storm Fiona will be used to help restore a replica of Hector, a 1773 ship that brought about 190 settlers from Scotland to Pictou, N.S.
