Video played at the sentencing hearing showed the on-duty officer assaulting a 13-year-old boy while being booked during an arrest.

Regina police officer Cpl. Colin Magee was charged with two counts of assault earlier this year. He pleaded guilty to one, but is taking the second to trial.

In the Statement of Claim filed Tuesday, the plaintiff alleged Cpl. Colin Magee and Cpl. Steve Wyatt “slammed him to the ground”.
