It’s alleged cash and credit cards were taken from wallets and purses left unattended in the vehicles, and then used at nearby stores before they could be reported as stolen.

Durham police said in the span of one week, 17 separate vehicle break-ins were reported from Winchester Road to Rossland Road, and Watford Street to Thornton Road in Whitby.

He loaded up his vehicle with her personal belongings and even an urn which he planned to take to a funeral home on Sunday. But all of that was stolen when his vehicle was broken into. He has a message for whoever’s responsible.
