London, Ont. received 56.6 mm of rainfall which ended up breaking the daily rainfall record and the most rain fallen on any day in January in the city.

Few details have been released, but a statement issued by the school says the incident began just before afternoon dismissal.

Police were asking the public to remain clear until the incident was resolved.
