On May 3, Justice Bird sentenced both men to 25 years in prison for first degree murder, with four years already served. 

Investigators say the body of 22-year-old Matthew Arcara was found last Thursday morning following a tip from Toronto police regarding a home invasion.

Police said 31-year-old Newmarket resident Arjuna Paramsothy has been charged with first-degree murder, two counts of robbery using a firearm, two counts of forcible confinement, disguise with intent and killing an animal.
