A Hillsburgh man is facing charges in connection with a fatal crash near Erin.
Shortly after 6:15 p.m. Sunday, officers with Wellington County OPP responded to a collision involving a pickup truck and a hatchback on Wellington Road 22, near Trafalgar Road.
The driver of the pickup truck was a 31-year-old from Erin and was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead.
OPP said the individual behind the wheel of the hatchback was hurt, but their injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
Wellington Road 22 was closed between Sixth Line and Wellington Road 24 for several hours.
Investigators determined that the driver of the hatchback was under the influence at the time of the crash.
A 25-year-old was arrested and later released with an Aug. 11th court date.
