An arrest has been made in a Collingwood, Ont., homicide after police were called to a disturbance.

Around 10:45 p.m. on Friday night, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said the Collingwood and Blue Mountains detachments were called for a disturbance on Matthew Way in Collingwood.

A homicide investigation was then launched, police said. No details of the incident have been released, but police said there is no risk to public safety as officers do not believe it was random.

OPP identified the victim as Dustin Leblond, 33, of Clearview Township.

Jeffrey Young, 43, of Wasaga Beach, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

Young appeared in Bail Court on Monday and remains in custody, police said.

He will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood at a future date.

Anyone with information is asked to contact OPP.
