For Vancouver, one is the unluckiest number.

The Canucks scored just one goal for their fourth straight game. And like the three before it, this one also ended in a loss – this time in a 2-1 defeat to the Dallas Stars.

Valeri Nichushkin and Erik Cole scored for Dallas, who moved to 11-7-2 on the season and in sole possession of fifth place in the Central division.

Vancouver were the aggressor for the entire game, with 42 shots to the Stars’ 23.

But Kari Lethonen was the difference maker for Dallas, including making 20 saves in the second period.

Vancouver did appear to score in the second , but the goal was immediately waived off on an interference call on Henrik Sedin.
