Missing 10-year-old from Surrey found safe: RCMP

A 10-year-old boy reported missing in Surrey on Tuesday morning has been found, RCMP confirmed Tuesday afternoon.

The child was reported missing at 9 a.m., but his family told police they had last seen him on 148 Street around 5 a.m.

In a Tuesday news release from police, the family had indicated the boy’s communication skills were limited and he may only be able to provide short answers to questions.

He was found, unharmed, with help from South Fraser Search and Rescue, police said.
