Sex offender missing from Surrey halfway house now arrested: RCMP

Shire Osman has been arrested, police said Friday morning. Surrey RCMP

Mounties in Surrey have arrested a convicted sex offender who did not return to his halfway house and was unlawfully at large.

Police said on April 26, Shire Osman failed to return to the halfway house and a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest was issued.

On Friday morning, Surrey RCMP said Osman has now been arrested.

Osman is on parole in relation to a sexual assault causing bodily harm conviction in Winnipeg.
