Police investigating after University of Guelph receive bomb threats

The Guelph Police Service is investigating a bomb threat at the University of Guelph.

Officers were called to the university at around 9:30 a.m. Monday.

Investigators say they received reports of a bomb threat in one of the buildings on the university campus.

Campus security issued an alert and evacuated Rozanski Hall, The Bullring and Landscape Architecture buildings around 10:45 a.m.

The Halton regional police canine unit was brought in to track down any explosive devices in the area but none were found.

Investigators say students and staff were allowed back inside the buildings just after 2 p.m.

They are asking anyone with information on this to contact the Guelph Police Service at 519-824-1212 ext. 7383 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
