The developers behind a controversial ski resort development near Squamish are taking another run at getting environmental approval.
The 5.5 billion dollar Garibaldi At Squamish resort is planned for 15 kilometres north of Squamish.

Three years ago the project was put on hold because of concerns over the resort’s use of water from a local salmon stream. The developers say they can now prove there’s enough accessible water, and using it won’t cause environmental issues.
But critics are still skeptical, saying it doesn’t make sense to have another large ski resort so close to Whistler.
