TORONTO – It’s beginning to look a lot like winter.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for much of southern Ontario – including Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Markham and northern Durham Region – calling for possible snow squalls on Monday evening.

Northwesterly winds will bring much colder temperatures into the area, and temperatures will hover just above the freezing mark.
The warmer lakes and colder air will be a perfect recipe for snow squalls. Roads in the area will be slippery and visibility is likely to be reduced.
For areas that can expect more than 10 cm of snow by Tuesday morning – including Barrie, Orillia, Dufferin, London and Sarnia – a snow squall watch has been issued.
