CALGARY – Officers at the Coutts border crossing have laid charges after they discovered a semi-automatic handgun concealed in a vehicle on its way into Canada.

It happened on October 30th, and was the second loaded handgun seized by officers in the span of a week.

Gary Gene Davis faces two counts under the Customs Act and one count under the Criminal Code.

He was arrested and offered release on a $3,500 bond.

Davis is scheduled to appear at Lethbridge Provincial Court on December 16, 2013.
