SASKATOON – It started ten years ago in Australia with a few men growing moustaches in November to raise awareness about men’s health and cancer.
Movember has since caught on around the world, with men and women in 21 countries participating in 2012, raising $146.6 million.
The movement has caught on at Global News in Saskatoon.
ENG cameraman Devin Sauer joined the movement in 2011. His reason is simple – to fight the evil that is cancer.
“I’m trying to raise awareness about men’s health and cancer in general,” said Sauer.
This year, Sauer created a new feature to go with his fundraising, and moustache growing efforts – Moustache Mondays.
