RCMP investigating double homicide in Chilliwack, B.C.

The RCMP’s Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is investigating a double homicide in Chilliwack after two people were found dead in a home on Tuesday.

Mounties were called to a residence in the 44400 block of South Sumas Road just before 2 p.m. after receiving a report of the grim discovery.

Investigators have determined the deaths of an adult man and woman are suspicious, IHIT said in a news release on Wednesday.

According to investigators, the incident appears the be isolated and there is no threat to the public.

Police are still working to identify the victims.
