14 and 15 year olds wanting a job this summer need to remember to complete Saskatchewan’s Young Worker Readiness Certificate Course.
It is now mandatory for teenagers of that age to compete the course before being allowed to work. It has been mandatory since March of 2010.
The course outlines the teen’s rights and responsibilities in the workplace and provides them with occupational health and safety information.
You can take the course at http://www.aeel.gov.sk.ca/ywrcc. Young workers also need to have the consent of their parent or guardian.
