Parksville voters have their next mayor and council after the 2022 B.C. municipal election on Oct. 15.
Global News projects Doug O’Brien has won the mayor’s race in Parksville, beating out incumbent Ed Mayne.
Council will be made up of incumbent Adam Fras, along with newcomers Amit Gaur, Mary Beil, Sean Wood, Sylvia Martin and Joel Grenz, Global News projects.
Parksville is 37 kilometres north of Nanaimo on the east side of Vancouver Island.
