Residents of Chetwynd have cast their votes in the 2022 B.C. municipal election.
Global News is projecting that incumbent Allen Courtoreille has been re-elected as the community’s mayor.
Acclaimed to council were incumbents Clay Bassendowski, Melvin Deck and Janet Wark plus newcomers Kayla Macdonald, Julia Nelson and Andrea Smith.
In the 2018 election, Courtoreille won a tight race against Alec Brownlee, capturing 52 per cent of the vote.
