Officials say classes will begin at the usual start time, and they are reviewing dismissal and lunch times to compensate for an increase in transportation time.

Required supplies for the first few days of class will be minimal, as student belongings should be moved to the Viscount Bennett Centre within the next few weeks.

However, the Calgary Board of Education says students need to bring a lunch because they won’t have access to food services and won’t be allowed to leave campus over the lunch break.

Initially, access to microwaves will be limited and students are asked to bring a packed lunch that does not require heating.
